COMMUNITY CARE MYANMAR

Spending time with kids

Community Care Myanmar is an organization that has been in action since 2013. Community Care Myanmar takes a whole-child approach to not only their basic needs but also their future through a supporting educational and health program. Last year, Building Blocks started to work together with this organization to further accomplish the needs of this organization. Every Friday, a group of about 10 Building Blocks members, go to South Okkalapa to where they teach the kids, play with them and utilize the supply donations to the organization previously made by Building Blocks. This is also the most popular group with about 50 members. If you want to have a fun and relaxing evening while doing community service work, feel free to contact the Building Blocks members to join the group!

BAKE SALES

Deliciously fundraising

The Building Blocks committee has been holding bake sales since the committee was established. Bake Sale is a fundraising event with an objective of collective revenue to fund an event. In the past, building blocks committee has generated funds by selling items such as brownies, ice cream, donuts, popsicles, cookies, chips, etc. These funds were allotted to the development of the Sanitation system of local schools and the reconstruction of their pathways and walls. This year, the committee once again looks forward to fruitful bake sales that would aid the projects thought for the local schools and other events.

PAINTING PROJECT

Making a Difference

For a school in need, even something as simple as a new coat of paint can energize a dreary classroom, inspire teachers, and motivate students. This is our main goal with Building Blocks’ Painting Projects. We seek for schools that have been damaged due to severe weather and restore them. In the past Painting Project, we painted the local school near YIS and restored it’s original beauty. However, it has already been a year and it needs help to repaint from us, like many other schools out there. If you are interested in revitalize schools, the Painting Projects are the perfect match for you.

MAKE A DONATION

Make A True Change

Despite being a large community service group, Building Blocks still requires a lot of time and materials to invest in the community. This is where anyone else can come in and help Building Blocks give out a helping hand, without having to join the group. If anyone is interested in donating money, materials or wanting to make a donation, Building Blocks is open to all. Please contact the leaders of the Building Blocks, Khine Su Mon or Swam Min Htike, in order to get more details about how you can make a donation. All proceeds and donations will be for the orphanages and areas in need. However small, your help can make a big difference in people's lives.
